The History Section of the Société Jersiaise is delighted to welcome visiting researcher Pernille Rudlin for a fascinating talk on the troupe of Japanese acrobats who visited and performed in Jersey in 1873.
Led by the enigmatic Tannaker Buhicrosan, the Tycoon troupe arrived in Jersey from Southampton on 10 August 1873. But was there more to Tannaker’s visit than a theatrical performance? Discover the intriguing story behind the man, his mysterious background, and a possible connection to one of Britain’s most infamous political assassinations.
