1873 November -The Royal Victoria Circus ((Tom)Wieland and (Harry) Lyons) and the Kioto Exhibition Troupe of Japanese, is another attraction in Calcutta and is by far the greatest combination ever seen in India. (The Australasian February 1874)

1899 February daughter Clara marries William Henry Perette Thring (b 1863) actor and agent W.H. Perrette

1901 census – Clara, William Henry and Clara Adelaide in Liverpool

1902 November Clara petitions for divorce from William Henry Thring on the grounds of cruelty. Frequently violently assaulted her, threw a lighted candle at her causing her to bleed. Blackened both her eyes and then jumped on her chest. Pushed a lighted candle into her mouth.

1906 Adelaide Wieland dies of a brain haemorrhage, aged 43. Funeral attended by her children Henry, Lizzie and Olga and Henry her husband. Clara is in the USA.

1907 Clara Wieland changed her name to Mary Ann Brown, a mimic, and gave up the serpentine dancing. Is still in the USA.

1911 Clara Wieland has operation in London on a tumour

1911- 1917 Clara Wieland performing in USA as “Taylor & Brown”

1922 Henry Wieland dies.
