1867 March 1st – on Hermann from San Francisco to Yokohama with Frederik Blekman, De Witt Clinton Brower, Ferdinand Gilbert, A. Fischer,  J.R. Marshall, G.W. Burgess. Arrive 12th April.

1867 April – Baldwin & Gilbert obtain 14 passports for troupe to travel for 1 year to USA and France.

1867 May 1 – Stanley departs Yokohama for Hong Kong, then San Francisco

1867 June 6th – combined Great Dragon Troupe Great Dragon Troupe arrive in San Francisco on the Stanley

1867 June 13 – EJ Baldwin returns to San Francisco on Colorado from Yokohama. 6 Japanese on board in steerage.

1867 July 4 – Colorado leaves San Francisco for Yokohama, arrived July 27

1883 January – shot by his cousin Verona Baldwin, suffered from blood poisoning but recovered. Verona claimed Baldwin had raped her.

1885 April – sued for breach of promise by Louise Perkins. Settled 1887.

1896 shot – sued by Lillian Ashley for seduction. While she was on the witness stand, her sister Emma Ashley, walked up behind Baldwin and fired a pistol at him, grazing his skull.
