1867 April – Lenton and Great Dragon troupe leave Yokohama for Shanghai on the Ganges, with  Phil Kirby. Then on to Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Java, Rangoon

1877 January -Tycoon Troupe of Burmese and Japanese performers, Stoodley and Harmston’s circus, Norwich.

1877 March – Royal Tycoon Troupe of Japanese and Burmese performers – Hanley, Liverpool

1882 –  Chiarini’s circus – Singapore and Burma, then Siam (Thailand) = a Japanese balancing act, Kichigoro and son, performing along with Emma Stoodley (1865-) and her siblings

1882 December – Chiarini’s Circus commenced their performances here last week, and have had no cause to complain of want of patronage. Between 3 and 4,000 people were present on the first night and the performances since have been equally well attended. Besides the usual Circus performances, there are some clever Japanese artistes, whose conjuring and balancing powers were greatly appreciated. Friend of India and Statesman
